Pursuant to the memorandum on the Branch Transfer & Award Transfer Regulations, the Quartermaster Corps is not responsible for the transferring of accourtaments and badges from any of the service branches, whether inbound or outbound.

Transfer Process

While the Quartermaster Corps is not legally responsible for the transfer of accoutrements and badges, the Quartermaster Corps will assist in the transfer process. The Quartermaster Corps will provide the following information to the service branch for outbound transfers:

  1. The user's Roblox username
  2. The list of accoutrements and badges earned by the user

Inbound Transfers

The process for inbound transfers is as follows:

  1. Fill out the following form provided by the Army's Office of the Inspector General

Certain accoutrements and badges may not be transferrable. See the table below for more information.

There is a maximum cap of 2 of each awards that can be transferred unless noted in the table below.

Transfer Table

The following table outlines the transferability of accoutrements and badges:

Marksmanship Badges/AwardsNoMarksmanship badges and awards are not transferable between branches.
Instruction Badges or AwardsNoBadges or awards earned to denote capabilities or to denote exceptionalism during basic training are not transferable between branches.
Unit CitationsNoUnit citations are not transferable between branches.
Department of Defense AwardsYesDepartment of Defense awards are transferable between branches. This includes: Medal of Honor, Defense Distinguished Service Medal, Defense Superior Service Medal, Silver Star, Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal.
Defense Meritorious Service MedalYesThe Defense Meritorious Service Medal is transferable when approved by the Army's Inspector General.
Bronze StarYesThe Bronze Star is transferable when approved by the Army's Inspector General.
Purple HeartNoThe Purple Heart is not accepted in the United States Army.
Legion of MeritYesThe Legion of Merit is transferable when approved by the Army's Inspector General.
Silver StarYesThe Silver Star is transferable when approved by the Army's Inspector General.
Defense Superior Service MedalYesThe Defense Superior Service Medal is transferable when approved by the Vice Chief of Staff of the Army or above.
Defense Distinguished Service MedalYesThe Defense Distinguished Service Medal is transferable when approved by the Vice Chief of Staff of the Army or above.
Medal of HonorYesThe Medal of Honor is transferable when approved by the Vice Chief of Staff of the Army or above.
Service Medals per RegionNoService medals relating to the Arctic, Antarctic, Humanitarian, or as a result of service in a specific region are not transferable between branches. This does not supersede Campaign ribbons.
Recruitment Badges/AwardsNoBadges or awards earned for recruitment purposes are not transferable between branches.
Special Operations Command AwardYesThe Special Operations Command Award is transferable when approved by the Headquarters, Special Operations Command (Defense)
  1. Submit the form to your Office of the Inspector General for review and approval. A signature from your Inspector General is required for the transfer to be processed.
  2. Once the form is approved by your Inspector General, submit the form to the Army's Office of the Inspector General for final approval.
  3. The Army's Office of the Inspector General will review the form and approve or deny the transfer. If approved, the Army's Office of the Inspector General will notify the Quartermaster Corps of the transfer.
  4. The Quartermaster Corps will initiate the transfer of the accoutrements and badges to the user's account.

The awards and badges transferred by the Inspector General's Office will be revised to reflect the Army's standards. The Quartermaster Corps will not transfer any awards or badges that do not meet the Army's standards. If an award or badge has been awarded in error, the Inspector General's Office and the Quartermaster Corps will rectify the issue perscribe in Regulations of Award Management and Regulated Badges.
