Awarding Process
The Army has its respective requirements on who and what can be awarded. Seek the Awarding Trello on the details as to who and what can be awarded. These requirements are coded in the bot's script, which will approve and deny the individual permission to hand out certain accouterments.
Certain overrides, exclusions, and permissions can be granted by the Bot Manager, which will bypass the traditional requirements.
In short, all General Officers are granted the authority to issue awards and decorations. This is done through the bot, which will verify the individual's rank and permissions. The bot will then issue the award or decoration to the individual.
Headquarters, Department of the Army, has the final say in all matters of awards and decorations. If there is a discrepancy or issue, the bot will automatically reject the request and notify the individual of the issue.
Accouterments Identification Number (AIN)
All accouterments are assigned a Quartermaster Corp ID number. This is similar to each individual's unique Social Security number or Driver's License number. This allows us to identify the accouterment and track its history.
| ID Format | Description | Example | Explanation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Axxxx | Award Number | A502 | Award ID # 502 |
| Bxxxx | Badge Number | B322 | Badge ID # 322 |
| Cxxxx | Citation Number | C1 | Citation # 1 |
Approval Process
The bot will automatically approve or deny the request based on the individual's rank and permissions. If the individual does not meet the requirements, the bot will automatically deny the request and notify the individual of the issue. Upon initial inspection, the bot will verify the individual's rank and permissions. If the individual meets the requirements, the bot will temporarily grant the individual the authority to issue the award or decoration.
The Inspector General will review the request and either approve or deny the request. If the request is approved, the bot will issue the award or decoration to the individual. If the request is denied, the bot will notify the individual of the issue. If rejected, the request will be destroyed and the individual will have to resubmit the request.
