Termination

Introduction

The Quartermaster Corps, with the approval of the Office of the Inspector General, to purge records from the database. This is done to ensure the integrity of the database and to remove any records that are no longer needed. The Quartermaster Corps will notify users of the termination and the reason for the termination.

Types of Termination

Type of TerminationDescription
TransferThe user has transferred to another branch of service. By policy, we cannot retain records of users who have transferred to another branch of service.
Dishonorable DischargeThe user has been dishonorably discharged from service. By policy, we cannot retain records of users who have been dishonorably discharged from service.

Process

The Office of Inspector General will initiate the termination process by notifying the Quartermaster Corps of the termination. The Quartermaster Corps will then notify the user of the termination and the reason for the termination. The Quartermaster Corps will then purge the user's records from the database.

Transfer

If a user has transferred to another branch of service, the transfer document serves as your notice and agreement to the policies surrounding the termination of your records. You will also be provided with the transaction ID of the transfer, which will serve as your proof of transfer and a way to import your old accouterments when you rejoin. The Quartermaster Corps will then purge your records from the database. You may use this transaction ID to request a copy of your records from the Quartermaster Corps, but the Quartermaster Corps is not obligated to provide you with a copy of your records.

Dishonorable Discharge

If a user has been dishonorably discharged from service, the Quartermaster Corps will purge the user's records from the database. A blacklist flag on the awards will prevent users from receiving their old accouterments.

Restoration

The Quartermaster Corps will not and cannot restore awards after they have been terminated due to DISHONORABLE DISCHARGE. The user cannot have their terminated accouterments and badges relogged into the Quartermaster Bot, unless they have been re-earned through continued service.

For users who have been terminated due to TRANSFER, the user may provide the Office of the Inspector General of the transaction ID to restore their accouterments and badges. The Quartermaster Corps will then relog the user's accouterments and badges into the Quartermaster Bot.

Procedural

To start the termination process, use the following command:

/terminate [USER] [TYPE]

The USER parameter is the user to be terminated, and the TYPE parameter is the type of termination. The TYPE parameter can be either transfer or blacklist. The Quartermaster Corps will then purge the user's records from the database.

To start the restoration process, use the following command:

/restore [USER] [CODE]

The USER parameter is the user to be restored, and the CODE parameter is the transaction ID provided by the Office of the Inspector General.
