Awards

All General Grade Army Officers and Department of Defense leadership can award accouterments to Army personnel. Army has multiple commands that deal with awarding users. The Sergeant Major of the Army has the same permission as the Director of Army Staff, but can only award enlisted personnel.

Command

All awards/medals are awarded through the following command:

/award [USER] [AWARD] [AWARD DESCRIPTION]

There are three components to the command:

AWARD DESCRIPTIONA description of why the user is receiving the medal.

Award Descriptions

All award descriptions must adhere to the policies outlined by Headquarters. The bot does not incorporate any artificial intelligence to deter any attempts to pad or bypass this restriction. However, permissions to the bot can be revoked if a user repeatedly bypasses the restriction by padding senseless filler words or characters.

In the first example: "The user has reached the Senior Inspector role in OIG," the user has met the ten-word requirement and has six unique words.

In the second example: "SI in OIG," the user, while provided a simplistic reason, has not provided a reason that adheres to department guidelines.

In the third example: "SI in OIG, a b c d e f g," the user, while provided a simplistic reason, has not provided a reason that adheres to department guidelines. Additionally, the user has attempted to bypass the restriction by padding the description with senseless filler words.
